Anna Brower

President

Anna Brower is a highly accomplished public service professional, bringing a wealth of management, operations, strategy, and communications expertise to Hopewell Fund. She was appointed Hopewell’s inaugural president in September 2025. Prior to that, she most recently served as Chief of Staff to New York Attorney General Letitia James. In this pivotal role, Anna was responsible for the strategy, management, and operation of an office comprising 2,200 professionals and a $400 million budget.

Anna’s leadership was instrumental in shaping public strategy, communications, and outreach for major legal cases and legislative priorities. She also successfully led legislative strategy that secured the passage of two major laws to protect children from the harms of addictive social media.

Anna previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Attorney General James, and she expertly managed transition of the James administration. Her extensive experience also includes serving as Deputy Campaign Manager for James’ successful 2018 campaign and significant volunteer campaign experience, including Biden 2020.

Earlier in her career, Anna was the Chief of Staff and Director of Communications at the New York City Office of the Public Advocate. She honed her expertise in communications and public affairs at Global Strategy Group, where she advised a variety of nonprofit clients, including United Way of New York City, Sanctuary for Families, and New York Road Runners. Anna also worked at the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection and began her career as an advance associate at the Obama White House.

Anna serves on the Make-A-Wish Metro New York’s Junior Board and is a long-time wishgranting volunteer. She graduated with a BA from Barnard College and lives in Brooklyn with her family.
